M&S energy?

Half a dozen eggs, pint of milk, and a years supply of gas and electricity please.

I love Marks and Spencers. You can’t beat their food products. However, what I don’t like, is the price that their energy partner SSE charge for their gas and electricity

More to the point, The downside to this energy deal. It really is quite expensive. The tariff is based on standard energy prices from SSE.

Standard energy prices are the most expensive.

The good points: Marks and Spencers is a great household name, and SSE have quite a good reputation as far as energy suppliers go.

Marks & Spencer energy is provided by Scottish & Southern Energy, so when you hear about gas & electricity increases from SSE, your price with m & s is also affected.

If you are reading this because you are a m & s energy customer, you are not taking advantage of online energy prices. Buying your energy from someone in a shop or on your doorstep, is for People who don’t have access to the internet.

As you obviously have access to the internet, why don’t you take control of your energy prices. All you have to do is enter your postcode on the right……..

From there, you will get quotes from all the energy suppliers.

Typical savings for switching to an online tariff are in the region of £150

I would have loved to give a better rating because this is Marks and Spencers. But I just can't see my way around giving a good review for something which is just very expensive. The quality of your gas and electricity doesn't change based on the name of the supplier. The fact that SSE have removed their cheapest online deals forces me to give marks and Spencers Energy a black mark. No thank you, I will get an online energy deal!

  1. I updated this page today because many people come here for some reason. I am not sure if you are in the process of switching to M & S energy, and looking for further information. Or whether they are existing customers. But whatever the case, you will save a lot more with an online tariff. As far as I am concerned, they can keep their Marks & Spencer voucher. I would rather have the £150!
