Hi i’ve just used Confused.com to find the cheapest dual energy supliers and although it gives me eON as one of the cheapest companies with it’s dual fuel V8 over a 12month contract as the cheapest but the saerch didn’t display the dual fuel V5 as mentioned by you as the best deal. Would you know why this is. Regards. Dave.
Hi Dave
Oh Dear
You have switched to a tariff which will soon have a price increase! That’s if you did switch. If not, then I suggest you switch to E.ON fixed price v5. This is not the time to be looking at the cheapest energy deal. With energy suppliers increasing their prices just now, you would be best to go with a fixed price deal. I can’t say why you didn’t get this information from confused.com . But if you did switch to E.ON save online 8 then I would advise you to cancel the E.ON tariff and go with EDF fixed 2014
Hi again Dave
Sorry about that. As you were getting your quotes from confused.com E.ON were removing their fixed price deals.
This is what happens when energy prices are on the increase. The better fixed price deals start to disappear. At the time of this comment EDF still have some great fixed price deals. You can get a quote for these by entering your postcode in the right hand column!
Hi I’ve just switched from an E.ON track and save 9 to the fixed price v5? Is this the right thing to do at the moment? Looking at the tariffs there are other eon tariffs which are cheaper?
Hi Gary
You have done the right thing. Going for the cheapest price is not the way to go just now. Energy companies are in the process of increasing their prices, so going with a fixed price deal is a wise move
