We are all misinformed by reviews these days

In the good old days we could rely on reviews before we made that final commitment to buy a product or use a service.

These days it’s not such a good way of measuring a suppliers performance or integrity.

The problem with reviews

Whenever you buy a new product or sign up to a new energy supplier, the supplier encourages you to leave a review immediately. The problem is, many consumers will do just that.

I don’t know how many times I’ve seen positive reviews like:

I love the look of this stereo. I can’t wait to unpack it and put it in my car – 5 star review

I have just switched to this supplier. The switching process was straight forward – 5 star review

So what is really going on in the world of reviews?

Most of us make that all important decision to buy a product or service based on reviews. Many companies are manipulating the buying triggers by encouraging their customers to leave reviews before they have even used the product. This manipulation pretty much renders most reviews absolutely worthless.

So what is the alternative?

There is one thing the suppliers cannot manipulate. That is complaints made to the Supplier. This is by far the best way to choose an energy supplier. So forget the reviews when choosing an energy supplier, and go by the hard facts. View this…
