Orbit Energy reviewed

Orbit Energy entered the domestic energy supply market in 2017. Read and leave your own reviews for this fairly new energy supplier.

New suppliers don’t generally get noticed until they start to show up amongst the cheapest suppliers on comparison sites. So very few reviews for Orbit Energy will be available until such time they are offering competitive prices.

Reviews for Orbit Energy on this website

We ask that you don’t leave any reviews until you have been with this supplier for a reasonable amount of time. Leaving a review stating the switching process was straight forward doesn’t provide enough information about a suppliers performance.

What to watch out for

  • When do you make your first payment?
  • Do they support the Warm Home Discount? (this may not apply to you)

We recommend you view the further information we have for this supplier on our Home Page

Switching to Orbit Energy

If you would like to switch to Orbit Energy, we advise that you go through an OFGEM Accredited Comparison Site. These sites have to follow a strict set of rules that always put the customers needs first.

We like the Energyhelpline website. It’s very straight forward to use and, it’s very responsive.

take money and wont return it

quick to take your money and increase the DD regularly so your always in credit - then you leave and you cant get the balance back - even after a final bill

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful company, taken multiple payments out of my account and 4/5 months later I have still not been refunded. Countless calls and emails still didn’t do much but get me passed around from person to person. Each person assuring me that my issue will be fixed. They now no longer answer my calls, I am kept on hold for a good while then it cuts off. AVOID THIS ENERGY SUPPLIER AT ALL COST! It will only result in stress and headache due to their lazy and undedicated employees.

Worst Energy Company & Customer Service

Worst Energy company I've ever dealt with. Been with them a while, the past month I've really struggled with money. Asked them to refund my balance which I was in credit by £189, 10 WORKING days later, I rang them to find out it had only just been approved and could take up to 10 more working days, the next day they charged me £189 rather than giving me it back. Still waiting for refunds from this company. Now in credit £250 and still no money back in my account. Quick enough to take the money but takes ages to out back in. Put 3 complaints in, had no correspondence from them. Everytime you ring, you are waiting for 40inutes to speak to someone, then they hang up. It's absolutely ridiculous. Awful company. Will be moving as soon as possible.

Worst Company Ever

Do not touch this company with a barge pole They have no customer service dept they will not respond to emails they take your direct debit as deposit I have switched to another company after 1month with them what looks to be a cheaper deal isn't worth the hassle of trying to make contact with them GO TO ANOTHER COMPANY PLEASE

 by KRH

I joined Orbit in 2019 as they were the cheapest on the market. Anyway, they hiked their prices by 25% in October so I left on 11/11/2020 and they are holding a large amount of credit on the Account
Their so called Ambassadors are quick to reply but this large credit has still not arrived. Unlikely I would ever be Orbits customer. Wish I had cancelled the direct debit
The new supplier has already collected 2 payments so I am out of pocket now
Please Orbit expedite the refund

Dishonest

Although you agree to a contract date for your direct debit ,Orbit Energy will take money from your account whenever they estimate that you will not be in credit. My direct debit is due on the 15th ,but they took money out on the 29th ,leaving me with £2.00 to buy 2 weeks of groceries. I also cannot pay my mobile phone bill, which i rely on as i am disabled. I also have to take my meds with food or they upset my stomach .
