Who is Pure Planet?

What do they have to offer?
Cheap online energy deals. They currently offer a variable tariff and a fixed price tariff.

It is commonplace for newer suppliers to take your first payment as soon as you switch over to them. This gives them more control with their finances, enabling them to offer lower energy prices.

Never had a problem and for the last 3 years no other company has come close to them, everything is online and that suits me a lot better.
Having tried for 3 months to switch (unsuccessfuly) to Pure Planet I left a negative review on another review website.
Like many others I found that email replies, which took between 5-7 working days to arrive, extremely unhelpful implying that it was all my fault that the switch could not be completed.
A final email from Rebecca at Pure Planet suggested that I might like to reconsider my negative review and change my star ratings too. In light of the customer service that I received there was no way that I would do that.
Wish that I had read the many negative reviews before I started the process. Now staying with my original company and I consider the failure to switch to Pure Planet a lucky escape.
I really don’t like pure planet. My bill is much larger due to homeworking and they instantly want to increase my DD more in winter but less in summer. I just want to clear the debt at decent regular payment. I don’t have extra money in winter, who does? Im salaried. They email back regular enough but would increase my DD without my consent so I can’t trust them and I could only pay online once. I can’t wait to switch away.
84 year old mother with dementia has faulty meter, do Pure planet care no.... the worst company I have ever dealt with, avoid like the plague,
I switched away from these guys back in November, i was told i had overpaid and would be getting a final bill. I was called twice to say it takes 4 to 6 weeks to get the final bill to me. Week 10 they eventually send it and i am due a refund of £425 and would have it in 5 working days. Day 10 and i sill haven't had it! when i had overused they were so quick to take money out of my account and now they owe me, they don't want to know.
Customer service is terrible, staff are forced to lie as they haven't a clue when, or if money will be paid back. I am sick to the back teeth of them and yet they hold onto my money.
Steer clear as their energy isn't that cheap and they use your money for their own benefit.
Asked for second refund and direct debit reduction in 4 months but very small refund and increase in direct debit. Email ignored. I agree with a review further down that says they borrow money from you by inflating your monthly payments. I would suggest that you avoid like the plague! Not allowed to rate at zero stars!
I have recently switched away from Pure Planet. On the whole they were a decent supplier. When we ran up a large bill they suggested making extra payments per month to bring this down. This was appreciated. However, they recently sent me a final bill. On this bill the charge for electricity usage was £47.58 for the 3 days between 5th and 8th of Oct. On studying the bill it appears they have been given an erroneous final meter reading of 6075, when in fact the reading I gave to my new supplier was only 6027, thus resulting in the overcharge. I wrote to Pure Plant by email on 22nd Oct telling them this and asking them to adjust their final bill as I will not be able to afford to pay the incorrect amount as it is. This is due to be taken out of my account in little over a week’s time. So far, I have not had any reply from Pure Planet 5 days later. I notice that Pure Planet do reply to complaints on this website. Could I ask that someone from Pure Planet contact me to discuss this matter ASAP. The bill reference is ************* (personal reference removed by Energy Advisory Service UK for customer protection)

Hello Brendan. The readings you have mentioned indicate you would pay around £7 extra. You should let your new supplier know that Pure Planet have charged you up to the reading of 6075.
Have been taking huge monthly overpayments, and now I have 3 years worth of credit. Am trying to get it refunded and the WattBot just goes round and round in circles. Have been attempting to get somewhere for 2 hours and it just reverts back to the beginning of the process everytime I click 'I want a refund'. Have complained. Might have to escalate to Energy Ombudsman. An absolute joke of company.
Computer says no.May be cheap but useless cust service if you have a problem
They don't have phone and it seems run by a stupid chat robot. No live interaction or humans. So if you have a problem which is outside the usual ones, they cannot respond coherently. I have 2 properties to switch but they can't deal with it.
Not properly set up for digital only.
Wait till you have problem eg if you want to leave. Just not worth the risk. They will be a nightmare. Guranteed.
Computer says no.
Can't sue 'em either as its not transparent who they are.
Changed suppler from EDF on their pretence of renewable energy.
1. They can’t read smart meters.
2. Smart meter installed shows No readings .
3. All bills estimates. Too high as the house not daily lived in and no electricity useage and once daily gas usage for 2 hrs to prevent freezing pipes and dampness.
4 effectively borrowing money from customers free and invest them for their own gain.
5. They have no contactable customer services and emails not answers except by standard pre prepared mail saying we are on it and for the last 2months no answers. They didn’t correct the smart meter nor replied.
6, refer A friend reward not paid.
7. Basically a FRUAD.ENT COMPANY IN ACORRUPT FININCIAL SYSTEM OF THE UK
8. Avoid.
